Feminine cuts and fresh floral patterns from black and white to colorful are waiting to be discovered by you.

With one print from our new collection we celebrate femininity with a tribute to a wonderful woman:

Viva Frida Kahlo!

This woman should become one of your heroines and inspiration from today at the latest. Born in Coyoacán on July 6, 1907, the third of four daughters of the German photographer Carl Wilhelm Guillerm Kahlo and the Mexican Matilda Calderón, she fell ill with polio at the age of 6 and recovered, was seriously injured in a bus accident at the age of 18 and recovered after years of fighting, married to an unfaithful man for more than 20 years and escaped from alcohol, affairs and art.

Her reality: "They thought I was a surrealist. That is not right. I have never painted dreams. What I was painting was my truth."

In the late 60's and 70's in the course of the women's movement she became an icon. Today, she still stands for emancipation, freedom, female creativity as well as self-confidence and pride. Despite, or because of her own flaws. She did not shy away from depicting emotional, frightening and sometimes almost nightmarish scenes of her life in pictures. And yet many of her works radiate something hopeful and self-confident. Frida Kahlo died of pulmonary embolism on 13 July 1954.

We have immortalized this heroine of the women's movement in our patterns and enjoy the thought that you are dancing through the day side by side with Frida. So you self-confident, strong and fun-loving women: show what you stand for, what you fight for and what you hope for! The world is yours and Belsira wants to accompany you.
